Neil Mulholland Stable Tour

Form profile

96 rated hurdler. Off the mark in a novices’ handicap hurdle at Market Rasen (2m 4 1/2f) on Boxing Day when beating Jingle Jangle Jet six lengths off a mark of 82 and followed up under a 7lb penalty in a handicap hurdle at Ayr (2m 4 1/2f) in January when beating Santa Clarita two lengths.

Trainer says

He has won his last two and showed improved form at Market Rasen on Boxing Day. We have given him a break and just freshened him up a little bit now and he will be running in the spring. He is a horse that can, hopefully, keep on improving. He has won on softer ground, but I think he can improve for better ground. Stepping him up in trip worked well and he is a horse going the right way.

Form profile

113 rated hurdler. Off the mark in a handicap hurdle at Fontwell (2m 3f) in October when scoring by two and a half lengths from Ted’s Friend off a mark of 104 and subsequently runner-up, beaten three and a quarter lengths, to Bertie B in a handicap hurdle at Plumpton (2m 4 1/2f) in December off a mark of 109.

Trainer says

She is consistent, and she has been a little bit tricky to train but she is in good form, and she can make her presence felt in handicaps anywhere from two and a half to three miles. She should be one to follow over the next few months and will jump a fence in time.

Form profile

Dual bumper winner who finished runner-up, beaten six lengths, to Jig’s Force in a maiden hurdle at Ffos Las (2m 4f) in November and had little trouble going one better in a mares’ maiden hurdle over two miles on the same course in December when slamming Audacious Annie 26 lengths.

Trainer says

She is a nice mare, and we will look at the Listed Jane Seymour at Sandown in February. We entered her for the mares’ race at Windsor at the Berkshire Winter Million on Sunday, but I just felt with the ground drying out that two miles around Windsor may be a bit short for her.

Form profile

121 rated chaser. Scored by a neck from Langley Hundred in a novices’ handicap chase at Newton Abbot (3m 2f) in June off a mark of 117.

Trainer says

She had a little setback after winning at Newton Abbot and all being well, he will be back for the summer. He jumps fine and stays well, and he is a good solid fun horse.

Form profile

116 rated hurdler. Gained a deserved return to winning form in a handicap hurdle at Newbury (2m 1/2f) on Wednesday when making all for a game three quarter length success from Norn Iron.

Trainer says

He did very well the other day at Newbury and Harriet Tucker gave him a great ride. He won off a career high mark and he is a horse that likes Newbury. I think he will make a good two-mile chaser, and he is a good jumper. He will go over fences after May 1. He has a great attitude and jumps well, and fences could bring out a bit more improvement.

Form profile

127 rated hurdler. Has maintained the progress he showed at the end of last season and was successful in his first four handicap hurdles this season which culminated in a half-length victory from Young Lucy at Cheltenham (2m 5f) in November off a mark of 114. Failed narrowly, beaten only a head, to East India Express to complete the five-timer in a handicap hurdle at Ascot (2m 5 1/2f) in December off a mark of 121.

Trainer says

He was a little bit unlucky when missing the last at Ascot last time out and he has been really good and keeps winning. We might look at the Martin Pipe with him. He is a horse who is mentally immature but physically is improving all the time.

Form profile

120 rated hurdler. A winner three times in the summer and gained his last success in a handicap hurdle at Fontwell (2m 5 1/2f) in August when beating Sam’s Armour six lengths off a mark of 110. Finished runner-up, beaten three quarters of a length, to Made For You in a handicap hurdle at Worcester (2m 7f) in September off a mark of 118 when last seen out.

Trainer says

He is a good solid horse, and he has been consistent. We can jump fences with him after May 1. He tries hard and has a good attitude. He is not long back in but if he can reproduce his consistency over fences this summer, I will be very happy with him.

Form profile

116 rated hurdler. Scored by three quarter of a length from High Game Royal in a handicap hurdle at Exeter (2m 7f) in October off a mark of 110.

Trainer says

He won a couple of time and did well at Exeter. He’s owned by the Pennys who are West Country people and love a chaser. He will have a couple of runs over hurdles but will go chasing from May 1.

Form profile

118 rated hurdler. Off the mark in a maiden hurdle at Ffos Las (2m 4f) this month when scoring by a neck from Mountain Mike.

Trainer says

He is a nice horse, and I wasn’t surprised he won at Ffos Las. He had a nice run first time out at Plumpton and was staying on and wasn’t beaten far. He has a rating of 118 and, hopefully, he can make his presence felt off that. He will definitely make a staying chaser. He is a horse that we like.

Form profile

120 rated chaser. Finished runner-up, beaten four and a quarter lengths, to Jasmin De Grugy in a handicap chase at Newbury (2m 7 1/2f) on Wednesday.

Trainer says

He ran a cracker at Newbury over three miles and got the trip pretty well. He missed the last, but he is a good solid horse and a nice big chaser. Hopefully, he can run in some of those decent three-mile handicap chases and make his presence felt.

Form profile

106 rated hurdler. Finished fourth, beaten eight and a quarter lengths, to Ballytechno in a novices’ handicap hurdle at Ascot (2m 3 1/2f) in November when last seen out.

Trainer says

His form is good, and he was staying on well at Ascot last time out. A step up in trip will definitely help and we can up him in trip when the ground gets nice. He is consistent and has a good attitude.

Form profile

132 rated chaser. Progressive chaser who has won three handicap chases this season and gained his last success at Market Rasen (2m 5 1/2f) in October when beating Mylesfromwicklow a length and a half off a mark of 126. Ran another cracker when runner-up, beaten three and a half lengths, to Pic D’Orhy in the Grade 2 1965 Chase at Ascot (2m 5f) in November.

Trainer says

He is phenomenal really and won a nice bit of prize money last time. He will have a bit of a break now as he has had plenty of runs last year and he got £17,000 for finishing second last time. We are happy with him, and he could be one for the Summer Plates at Market Rasen and Uttoxeter.

Form profile

131 rated hurdler and chaser. Impressive winner of a valuable handicap hurdle at Sandown (2m 4f) on the final day of the season last April when beating Pic Roc six and a half lengths. Hasn’t shown anything like that form in two runs over fences and two over hurdles. Pulled up when tailed off in a Pertemps Qualifier at Wincanton (3m 1/2f) on Boxing Day.

Trainer says

We tried to go chasing with him, but it didn’t really work. He is not the biggest horse but has a good little heart and we haven’t had the best of luck with him since he returned to hurdling. I think there will be better to come from him in the Springtime on the better ground and when he has dropped a few pounds in the handicap. I would suspect he would become competitive again very shortly.

Form profile

92 rated hurdler. Off the mark in a novices’ handicap hurdle at Wincanton (3m 1/2f) in December when beating Keable two and a quarter lengths off a mark of 76 and followed up in a similar event at Catterick (3m 1 1/2f) on New Years Day off a mark of 86.

Trainer says

He has won two handicap hurdles, and he was brave at Kempton when they pulled along way clear of the third horse. He is still learning the game and he is not total straight forward but is improving with experience.

Form profile

115 rated chaser. Off the mark over fences when beating Felton Bellevue six lengths off a mark of 103 in a handicap chase at Market Rasen (3m) in December and was still close up when falling at the last in the Lincolnshire National at Market Rasen (3m 3 1/2f) on Boxing Day off a mark of 110.

Trainer says

He ran really well when winning at Market Rasen in December and fell at the last when going back there in the Lincolnshire National. He normally jumps very well, and we will bring him back in trip next time. When you are running over those marathon trips you keep bringing them back and bringing them back, but we will make use of his jumping in the next couple of weeks.

Form profile

Made a winning debut over hurdles in a mares’ event at Worcester (2m 4f) in September when beating Dameofthecotswolds a length and a half.

Trainer says

She is just back in, and she wants nice ground. She will run in the spring, summer and the autumn and she was bit hard on herself when she won at Worcester. The form has been backed up well and she is a nice mare going forward.

Form profile

128 rated chaser and 125 rated hurdler. A winner twice this season and finished runner-up, beaten 10 lengths, to Al Dancer in the Badger Beer Handicap Chase at Wincanton (3m 1f) off a mark of 128 and subsequently third, beaten five and three quarter lengths, to Thomas Mor in a Pertemps hurdle qualifier at Wincanton (3m 1/2f) on Boxing Day off a mark of 125.

Trainer says

He is very consistent, and he finished second in the Badger Beer Chase and has done well over hurdles as well. He is a horse that is getting a bit older, but he is in great form and he wants a staying trip. He wants good ground, and he is competitive and in good order. We did toy with the idea of running in a couple of Cross-Country races and that could be a possibility.

Form profile

100 rated hurdler. Gained her second success when beating Lady’s Present 13 lengths in a mares’ novices’ handicap hurdle at Fakenham (2m 7 1/2f) on New Year’s Day off a mark of 94. Didn’t perform to the same level on her return to that course and distance on Sunday when only fourth, beaten 16 ¼ lengths, to Mersey Street.

Trainer says

She won second time out for us at Fakenham, and she ran there again on Sunday, but she didn’t repeat her previous effort and was never really at the race. She had gone up 6lb for her win, but she is better than showed at the weekend.

Form profile

Finished runner-up, beaten a length and a half, to Viyanni in a Juvenile Hurdle at Market Rasen (2m 1/2f) in December.

Trainer says

He finished second to Viyanni at Market Rasen and they were a long way clear of the third who had won. We have him entered for Huntingdon next week and we could be looking on him as a Boodles horse, but we have few bridges to cross before then.

Form profile

106 rated hurdler. Having her first run since wind surgery when runner-up, beaten a length and three quarters, to Springs A Girl in a mares’ novices’ hurdle at Ludlow (2m 5f) in December.

Trainer says

She wants good ground and a trip. She has good form at Ludlow, and she is qualified for the Mares’ Final at Newbury. She is tough, genuine and jumps well and she wants some nice ground.

Form profile

109 rated hurdler. A winner twice this season and gained her last victory in a handicap hurdle at Wincanton (1m 7f) in October off a mark of 105.

Trainer says

She ran out in Jersey a lot last year and is very consistent. She finished second in Jersey’s Champion Hurdle before coming back and running well in England. She is good consistent dual-purpose horse.

Form profile

120 rated hurdler. Has won both of his hurdles since joining the stable. Landed a maiden hurdle at Windsor (2m) in December by three and a half lengths from La Pinsonniere and followed up with a 17-length success from Renoir in a novice event at Hereford (2m) on Wednesday.

Trainer says

He is a nice horse who is two from two for us. Obviously, you can only beat what’s in front of you, but he won very well at Hereford the other day. We will have to step him up a bit in class now and he is has been given a rating of 120. There is no immediate rush as to where we go but there are plenty of races coming up.

Form profile

119 rated hurdler. Made a winning debut for the stable when beating Shakeyatailfeather a head in a novices’ hurdle at Southwell (3m 1/2f) in October.

Trainer says

Long-term, he will make a lovely chaser. He came to us from Ireland and won first time up. He is likeable and he can do well over fences.

Form profile

112 rated hurdler. Off the mark with a five and a half-length success from Tommy The Tank in a maiden hurdle at Fontwell (2m 3f) in October. Finished third, beaten six lengths, to Guard Duty in a handicap hurdle at Windsor (2m 6f) on Sunday.

Trainer says

He ran in a decent race at Windsor on Sunday and put in a creditable performance to finish third. I think he is better suited by a longer trip, and I think you will see him back winning over two miles six and further on better ground soon.

Form profile

108 rated hurdler. Finished fourth, beaten three lengths, to Jalisco Star in a novices’ handicap hurdle at Ascot (3m 1/2f) in November off a mark of 105.

Trainer says

He is very consistent and ran very well at Ascot last time out when finishing fourth. He didn’t have much luck in running and got cut up but is a good fun horse.

Form profile

117 rated chaser. Finished runner-up, beaten five and a half lengths, to Le Ligerien in a handicap chase at Lingfield (2m 4f) in December off a mark of 118. Finished fifth, beaten seven and a half lengths, to Hasthing in a handicap chase at Windsor (2m 6f) on Friday.

Trainer says

He won twice last year at Chepstow for James Bowen, and he was supposed to go there last week but it was called off after the second race. He made a bad mistake five out which put paid to his chances at Windsor on Friday in a higher grade race than we would have liked to run in which was not Plan A or B but was Plan F. He is best around Chepstow on an undulating course and on a going day he can make his presence felt.

Form profile

133 rated chaser. Off the mark over fences in a handicap chase at Cheltenham (3m 1f) in November when beating Java Point a length and a half off a mark of 129. Finished runner-up, beaten two and three quarter lengths, to Haiti Couleurs in a novices’ handicap chase on his return to Cheltenham (3m 1 1/2f) in December off a mark of 132.

Trainer says

He is a real nice horse for the yard, and he loves it around Cheltenham. The National Hunt Chase would be right up his street and he had three runs around Cheltenham this season and finished second, first and second. He will probably run in the Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham on Saturday before going straight for the National Hunt Chase.

Form profile

126 rated chaser. Has failed to complete in his last two starts at Perth and Kelso in September and October but impressed when jumping well to score by four and a half lengths from Chance A Tune in a handicap chase at Worcester (2m 4f) in September off a mark of 122.

Trainer says

He was a little bit disappointing at Kelso last time out where he just didn’t jump with any fluency. Maybe he had been feeling the effects of a long season, and he has been freshened up. He is back cantering, and he will be ready to run in the spring. He is a horse, who on his day, can make his presence felt.
