In the presence of a number of battle-hardened handicappers, ROSE OF HONOUR can prove that she's a cut above. James Tate's filly won on her debut at Kempton before following up at Southwell, and showed an opening mark of 88 was within range when maintaining her unbeaten record over 6f here last month. The four-year-old is 3lb higher now, but she's still open to bags of improvement and can reap the benefits of that recent spin. Toca Madera drops in class having finished a creditable third at York and edges out Naana's Sparkle as next best.
Today's trip and surface seems to suit TOCA MADERA, who was only beaten by half a length at York last time out, though that was a significant improvement from previous form. His main danger is surely Rose Of Honour, who goes in search of getting four on the bounce, despite carrying weight that reflects her hat-trick. Naana's Sparkle hopes for two on the bounce and has only once finished out of the placings since the end of June last year.
