ROCK STEADY BEAT showed up well when beaten just four lengths on his racecourse debut at York's Dante meeting, and he wouldn't need to improve much from that display to get off the mark at the second attempt. Eevee Star is entitled to build on her third at Ripon and can enter the reckoning, while Blakey Ridge, a 105,000-euro purchase at the Goffs Orby sale in September, appeals most of the newcomers.
Although not coming up to market expectations on his York debut, ROCK STEADY BEAT showed pace and he might prove suited to the drop to 5f here. He's evidently thought a bit of and his trainer has a fine record at this course with his juveniles. Eevee Star showed up nicely on her Ripon debut and can emerge as the danger, although Sydney Grace can be expected to leave behind a modest enough debut and should be in the mix behind the selection.
