He won a valuable chase at Newbury, and I probably ran him back a bit too soon when he was fourth on his return to Newbury. He ran a big race the other day at Doncaster, and you could say he got there a bit soon the way the race panned out, but he still ran a lovely race to be second. We will aim him now for one of the spring festivals, and whether he runs in the Grand Annual or goes for the Red Rum at Aintree we will see."

Emma Lavelle (13 February 2023): "He is another who wasn’t quite right earlier but everything came together and everything seemed in good order when he bolted up at Fontwell on Monday. It wasn’t a great race but he is a horse that has worked well and travelled well through his races and hopefully, at a similar sort of level, he can win again under a penalty. He is a chaser and next year will be more his year but, hopefully, he can win more over hurdles. "
